AIP Products We Love

Eating AIP is hard enough. Finding good products shouldn’t be.

These are products we’ve personally purchased, used, and would buy again. We’re sharing them because they’ve made eating AIP a little easier, a little more convenient, or simply more enjoyable.

No paid placements. No affiliate commissions. Just things we genuinely like.

Ingredients and formulations can change. Always check the current ingredient label to make sure a product works for your individual dietary needs and AIP approach.

How Something Makes Our List

We only feature products we’ve actually purchased and used.

Being AIP-friendly gets something considered. Being genuinely good gets it on this page.

We look for products that:

  • Fit the Core AIP elimination framework unless otherwise noted

  • Have ingredient lists we’re comfortable with

  • Solve a real problem or make AIP easier

  • Taste good enough that we would personally buy them again

Chomps Sea Salt Beef Sticks

PENNY ROSE FAVORITE · GREAT FOR TRAVEL

A simple grab-and-go protein option and one of the easiest things to keep around when you need something genuinely convenient.

How we use it: This is our easy backup. Sometimes it is breakfast, sometimes it lives in a purse during a day of errands, and sometimes it comes along to a social gathering when we are not sure there will be something AIP-friendly to eat.

Why we like it: It is simple, portable, filling, and the Sea Salt variety keeps the ingredient list much simpler than many flavored meat sticks.

Good to know: We specifically recommend the Sea Salt Beef variety. Other Chomps flavors contain spices that may not fit Core AIP.

Snacks & On-the-Go

Wild Zora Italian Beef Meat & Veggie Bars

GREAT FOR TRAVEL · EASY AIP OPTION

One of those products that is especially useful when you need real food but don’t have access to a kitchen.

How we use it: These came with us on a two-week work trip when figuring out what to eat while traveling felt stressful. They were easy to pack, shelf-stable, and genuinely delicious.

Why we like it: Portable protein without needing refrigeration, and specifically designed with AIP eaters in mind.

EPIC Bison Bacon Cranberry Bar

ON-THE-GO FAVORITE

A savory-sweet protein bar made with bison, uncured bacon, and cranberries.

How we use it: This is more of an occasional treat for us. We sometimes travel with them, but because the cranberries add some sweetness, we usually reach for Chomps for an everyday backup and save these for when we want something a little more special.

Why we like it: It feels much more like actual food than a traditional snack bar and has a great savory-sweet flavor.

Core AIP ✓

Jackson’s Sea Salt Sweet Potato Chips

SNACK DRAWER STAPLE

Sweet potatoes cooked in avocado oil with sea salt — simple, crunchy, and one of our favorite chip options.

How we use them: We especially like bringing these to social gatherings so there is something fun and snacky to eat alongside everyone else’s party food.

Why we like them: They satisfy the “I just want chips” problem without a long ingredient list. Fair warning: they are very easy to finish in one sitting.

Core AIP ✓

Barnana Himalayan Pink Salt Plantain Chips

PANTRY STAPLES

A simple plantain-chip option cooked in coconut oil.

How we use them: We do not just eat these as a snack. They also make a great base for an easy meal — for example, topped with ground beef, sautéed zucchini, and pickled onions.

Why we like them: They are crunchy, versatile, and can turn into part of a quick meal instead of just being something to snack on.

Siete Grain Free Dip Chips

OCCASIONAL FAVORITE

Made with cassava, avocado oil, pumpkin, coconut flour, psyllium husk, and sea salt.

How we use them: These are especially good with dips, and we also like having them in the car for long road trips.

Why we like them: They are one of the better tortilla-chip-style options we have found when we want something sturdy, crunchy, and genuinely satisfying.

Good to know: We personally try to keep cassava intake fairly limited, so these are more of an occasional favorite than an everyday staple.

Breakfast

Wild Zora AIP Baked Apple Hot Cereal

EASY BREAKFAST

A convenient hot breakfast option for mornings when you don’t want to cook everything from scratch.

How we use it: This was another work-trip favorite. In a hotel room, all it needed was hot water from the kettle, which made breakfast much easier when traveling.

Why we like it: AIP breakfasts can get repetitive quickly, so having a shelf-stable option that travels well is especially useful.

Penny Rose Not ’Nola Cinnamon Apple

MADE BY PENNY ROSE FOODS

The AIP-friendly crunch we wanted to eat — so we made it.

A grain-free, oat-free cinnamon apple crunch made with coconut, apples, maple syrup, coconut oil, arrowroot, cinnamon, and sea salt.

Why we made it: We created Not ’Nola because we could not find the kind of product we wanted on the market — something crunchy, simple, and AIP-friendly that still felt like a real breakfast or snack.

How we eat it: One of our favorite breakfasts is Not ’Nola with fresh banana and coconut milk. We also eat it with coconut milk on its own or take it along while traveling as an easy snack.

Pantry & Cooking Staples

Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos

PANTRY STAPLE

One of the ingredients we reach for constantly.

How we use it: We cook with coconut aminos a lot, but probably use it most often when making ground turkey.

Why we like it: It gives simple meals a salty-savory boost and is an easy replacement for soy sauce in AIP cooking.

The version we use contains coconut tree sap and sea salt.

Core AIP ✓

Organic Coconut Milk

PANTRY STAPLE

A simple coconut milk with no added gums or emulsifiers.

How we use it: This is an everyday staple for us — with Not ’Nola in the morning and also in coffee.

Why we like it: Coconut milk shows up constantly in AIP cooking, and finding one without guar gum or unnecessary additives makes life easier.

Ingredients: Organic coconut milk.

Core AIP ✓

Chosen Foods Organic Avocado Oil

COOKING STAPLE

A neutral, versatile oil we use for everyday cooking.

How we use it: This is our default cooking oil and the one we reach for for just about everything.

Why we like it: It is versatile, neutral-tasting, and easy to use for roasting, sautéing, and everyday cooking.

Baking & Recipe Essentials

365 Organic Coconut Flour

BAKING STAPLE

One of those ingredients that shows up over and over again in grain-free cooking.

How we use it: One favorite use is making simple little flatbreads with coconut flour, arrowroot, and rosemary.

Why we like it: It is a versatile grain-free flour that works well in simple homemade breads and other AIP recipes.

Core AIP ✓

Bob’s Red Mill Arrowroot Starch

PANTRY STAPLE

Arrowroot is one of our most-used AIP kitchen ingredients.

How we use it: We use it in those coconut-flour flatbreads, and it is also one of our go-to ingredients for thickening sauces.

Why we like it: It is incredibly useful for improving texture in grain-free recipes and thickening without adding much flavor.

Core AIP ✓

Further Food Grass-Fed Gelatin

RECIPE ESSENTIAL

A useful ingredient for desserts and recipes where you need something to set or thicken.

How we use it: We mostly use gelatin in desserts — coconut ice cream is one example.

Core AIP ✓

Vital Proteins Unflavored Collagen Peptides

EVERYDAY EASY ADD-IN

An easy way to add collagen to smoothies, drinks, or recipes without changing the flavor very much.

How we use it: We usually toss it into smoothies.

Good to know: Collagen is not a complete protein because it does not provide all nine essential amino acids, so we think of it as an add-in rather than a replacement for complete dietary protein.

Why we like it: It is simple, virtually flavorless, and easy to work into foods we are already eating.

Core AIP ✓

Protein & Broth

Safe Catch Skipjack Tuna

QUICK PROTEIN

Sometimes the best AIP food is simply something that requires almost no preparation.

How we use it: This is our go-to when we forgot to defrost something for dinner. We like it with avocado oil, chopped onion, oregano, and lemon juice.

Why we like it: The version we use is simply skipjack tuna, making it an easy protein to keep in the pantry for those nights when dinner plans fall apart.

Core AIP ✓

Kettle & Fire Chicken Bone Broth

PANTRY & FREEZER BACKUP

Useful for soups, sauces, sipping, or any time a recipe calls for broth.

How we use it: We cook with it, but also like drinking it warm with a little salt, garlic powder, rosemary, and a squeeze of lemon or lime.

Why we like it: Having a ready-made broth means one less thing to cook from scratch, and it also works as a simple savory drink when we want something warm.
